Terrorists trained group of teen suicide bombers in Syria - Russian Defense Ministry
MOSCOW. Feb 4 (Interfax) - Terrorist organizations have trained a group of teen suicide bombers in Syria to carry out terrorist attacks in the country, Russian Defense Ministry official Major-General Igor Konashenkov said.
"According to the information we have received from representatives of the Syrian opposition in the Idlib province, militants from the terrorist groups Jabhat al-Nusra and Ahrar Ash Sham (groups banned in Russia) have formed a group of teenagers who underwent a special training program. They are expected to be used for carrying out terrorist attacks against civilians in the provinces of Damascus, Homs and Latakia," Konashenkov told reporters on Thursday.
He said the oldest suicide bomber is 16 and the youngest is 14.
