Anti-ISIL coalition carries out 12 major strikes in five Syrian provinces - Russian Defense Ministry
MOSCOW. Feb 4 (Interfax) - On February 1-3 the international coalition carried out 12 powerful airstrikes in five Syrian provinces, Russian Defense Ministry spokesman Maj. Gen. Igor Konashenkov has said.
"Over the last few days the Russian Defense Ministry has again been hearing 'stupid accusations' that Russian aircraft allegedly carried out strikes against the territories where terror groups have never been. This especially concerns destruction of the targets outside Raqqa where the so-called anti-ISIL coalition's aircraft allegedly neither fly, nor bomb," Konashenkov told reporters on Thursday.
In the first three days of February alone, the aircraft of the international coalition carried out 12 powerful missile and bomb strikes against various targets in the provinces of Aleppo, Homs, Raqqa, al-Hasakah and Deir ez-Zor, the spokesman said.
