Series of working subgroup meetings on Ukraine to begin in Minsk on February 9, session of contact group not to take place - Belarusian Foreign Ministry

MINSK. Feb 8 (Interfax) - Minsk is ready to host three working subgroups of the Trilateral Contact Group on the settlement of the situation in southeastern Ukraine this week, and no session of the contact group is planned, Belarusian Foreign Ministry press officer Dmitry Mironchik told Interfax on Monday.

"The subgroup on political issues is expected to begin its work on Tuesday. The subgroups on economic issues should join it the next day," Mironchik said.

According to the Belarusian Foreign Ministry, no meetings of the Trilateral Contact Group on Ukraine are planned in Minsk this week.

LPR envoy Vladislav Deinego earlier said the meeting of the contact group on Ukraine scheduled to be held in Minsk on February had been postponed.
