Kurds from Democratic Union Party have good chances to take part in new round of intra-Syrian talks in Geneva - Qadri Jamil
MOSCOW. Feb 10 (Interfax) - Syrian Kurds have good chances of receiving an invitation to take part in the intra-Syrian negotiations in Geneva, says Qadri Jamil, a member of the Moscow-Cairo opposition group.
"There was an altercation between the Americans and the Turks because of the Kurds yesterday, and therefore I think there are good chances, and they should [participate]. If we want the negotiations in Geneva to be successful, the Kurds, represented by the Democratic Union Party, are the principal component now," Jamil told journalists on Wednesday.
"How can we discuss a ceasefire without them? This is unrealistic," he said.
