Militia attacks Ukrainian army positions 50 times in past 24 hours - Ukrainian army staff

KYIV. Feb 11 (Interfax) - Ukrainian army positions came under 50 attacks by the militia in the past 24 hours, the Ukrainian army operation press center in Donbas said on Thursday.

"Tensions were the worst in the suburbs of Donetsk and Horlivka," the press center wrote on Facebook.

The militia fired grenade launchers and large-caliber machineguns on Ukrainian army positions in Pisky, Opytne, Avdiivka and the Butovka mine.

Ukrainian army positions in Maryinka came under seven attacks of the militia's small arms and grenade launchers.

The militia used mortars, grenade launchers and large-caliber machineguns near Horlivka. Ukrainian strongholds in Troitske, and Novhorodske, were attacked by various types of grenade launchers, and 82mm and 120mm mortars shelled fortifications in Mayorsk and Zaytseve.

Ukrainian army positions in Krasnohorivka were also shelled by mortars.

Grenade launchers and small arms were fired on Ukrainian army strongholds near Kodema, Starohnativka and Novohryhorivka.
