Budget to produce Il-114 passenger planes estimated at 56 bln rubles - UAC
SINGAPORE. Feb 16 (Interfax) - The program to build short-haul Il-114 turboprop passenger planes will require about 56 billion rubles, United Aircraft Corporation (UAC) Vice President Vladislav Masalov told journalists on Tuesday.
"The program's budget totals about 56 billion rubles according to our estimates," Masalov said at Singapore Airshow 2016.
The money is needed to certify the aircraft, issue the documentation, set up production, subsidize sales and support operators.
Documentation on production of the planes is scheduled to be issued in 2017, he said. "We are also working on the question of the ability to use the groundwork at the Tashkent aviation plant, in order to accelerate passage of the first stage of flight tests," he said.
Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin said earlier that production of the Il-114 would be organized at the Sokol aviation plant in Nizhny Novgorod.
A total of 17 Il-114 aircraft were built by 2012 at the plant in Tashkent (TAPOiCh).
About 320 orders for the plane might be received in 2019-2030. Peak production of 24 planes a year is to be achieved in 2025. The first test version is scheduled for delivery in 2018-2019 and by 2025 customers will take delivery on 24 of the planes, each costing 960 million rubles (including VAT) in 2014 prices.
The Il-114, equipped with two 2,500-h.p. TV7-117S (SM) engines, is designed to carry 64 passengers. The maximum takeoff weight is 23.5 tonnes and the maximum commercial load is 6.5 tonnes. Cruising speed is 500 km/hour at 7,600 meters. Flight range is 1,000 km with 64 passengers or 4,800 km with 1.5 tonnes of cargo.
