People's Front to continue backing Yatsenyuk, but government needs change - deputy faction leader
KYIV. Feb 16 (Interfax) - The parliamentary faction of the People's Front will continue to support the Cabinet led by Prime Minister Arseny Yatsenyuk but the unsatisfactory assessment by Verkhovna Rada of his work highlights the need for change in the way the Cabinet functions.
"The unsatisfactory assessment [of the government actions] which still got voted upon shows that the government should radically re-assess its work and the premier get tougher with his ministers. We will continue supporting him in his work," People's Front deputy faction leader Andriy Teteruk told reporters in parliament on Tuesday.
The government needs to change, he said.
For his part, People's Front faction leader Maxim Burbak said: "What I predicted as early as this morning has happened. I had a hope that responsibility will prevail over populism... They did let off some steam a little. I think the only right decision has been made and will appease the situation which has been heated up by certain politicians and intriguers in the past three months. Common sense and responsibility for the fate of our country have won."
