Ruble rebounds with oil on Monday evening

MOSCOW. Feb 22 (Interfax) - The U.S. dollar and euro fell markedly during trading at Moscow Exchange on Monday evening; the ruble is actively strengthening amid a considerable increase in global oil prices.

The U.S. dollar was worth 75.428 rubles at 7 p.m. Moscow time at the Moscow Exchange, down 1.622 rubles since the closure of the previous trading. The euro was 83.20 rubles, down 2.625 rubles. The bi-currency basket ($0.55 and EUR0.45) fell by 2.07 rubles to 78.925 rubles.

The ruble strengthened against the U.S. dollar and euro in the first minutes of trading at Moscow Exchange thanks to a rebound in global oil prices which saw active growth on Monday on the optimism about talks between Russia and OPEC members over the freezing of oil output at the January level.
