Russian Athletic Federation is sure that Russian track and field athletes to take part in Olympics in Brazil
MOSCOW. Feb 23 (Interfax) - Russian track and field athletes need to take part in the Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, President of the Russian Athletic Federation Dmitry Shlyakhtin told reporters.
"We believe, hope and are more than sure that we will compete there (at the Olympics)," Shlyakhtin told reporters in Moscow on Tuesday.
He said that all the decisions on the Russian track and field athletic team to take part or not to take part in the Olympics in Rio de Janeiro needed to be taken no later than in June.
"The point of no return exists. I believe that probably this is the month of June," Shlyakhtin told reporters in response to a question as to whether the deadlines exist for the restoration of the Russian track and field athletics on the international arena.
