President yet to reach final decision on tax, customs service merger - Shuvalov
MOSCOW. Feb 25 (Interfax) - Russian President Vladimir Putin has not yet reached a final decision on whether to merge the Federal Tax Service and Federal Customs Service or whether to leave them as standalone entities, First Deputy Prime Minister Igor Shuvalov said.
"We'll decide a little later, the president will reach the decision whether each of them will be separate services with a common information resource, or whether they will be consolidated," Shuvalov said at an enlarged meeting of Tax Service officials.
