Duma passes law hiking excise for Euro 5 gasoline to 10,130 rubles/tonne, diesel to 5,293 rubles/tonne

MOSCOW. Feb 26 (Interfax) - The State Duma on Friday passed at first reading and adopted as a whole a bill to raise excise on gasoline of various types, diesel and medium distillates.

Amendments to the Tax Code will see excise on Euro 5 gasoline go up from 7,530 rubles to 10,130 rubles a tonne from April 1, and to 7,430 rubles a tonne in 2017, instead of a planned 5,830 rubles a tonne.

Excises on gasoline that does not comply with Euro 5 and on straight run gasoline will be raised from 10,500 rubles to 13,100 rubles a tonne from April 1 and to 12,300 rubles a tonne from 2017, instead of a planned 9,700 rubles a tonne.
