DPR reports Ukrainian army mortar attacks on Zaitseve
DONETSK/KYIV. Feb 29 (Interfax) - The Ukrainian army's mortars shelled Zaitseve in the small hours of Monday, the Donetsk news agency said, referring to a source in the law enforcement authorities of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic (DPR).
"The Ukrainian army opened fire with 82mm mortars on Zaitseve at about 10:20 p.m.," the source said.
According to him, fire was coming from Ukrainian army positions in Zhovanka. At least six mines were fired.
In turn, Kyiv observed 71 militia attacks on Ukrainian army positions on Sunday. The press center of the army operation staff wrote on Facebook on Monday morning that the militia allegedly used weapons banned by the Minsk agreements - 82mm and 120mm mortars.
