Car explodes near Nazran mosque after Friday prayer, some people injured - source
NAZRAN. March 11 (Interfax) - A car has exploded in the grounds of a mosque in Nazran's Nasyr-Kort municipal district after Friday prayer; there have been reports of injuries, a source in Ingushetia's law enforcement authorities told Interfax.
"The car explosion occurred in an area adjacent to the mosque, straight after the Friday prayer, at around 2 p.m. Moscow time. According to early reports, some have been injured," the source said.
A team of investigators is working at the scene to ascertain the circumstances that led to the incident, he said.
Another source in regional law enforcement agencies told Interfax that the explosion occurred in a Mercedes vehicle. "The explosion injured one person, he has been hospitalized in critical condition," the source said.
