Renault Romania chief Nicolas Maure named as new head of Avtovaz

MOSCOW. March 15 (Interfax) - The board of directors at Avtovaz has appointed Nicolas Maure, the Renault Group's Romania chief and head of the Renault Group's Automobile Dacia SA, as company president, Avtovaz said in a statement.

Maure will replace Bo Andersson, who has been president of Avtovaz since January 15, 2014. Andersson will step down from the role on April 4.

Before taking over operations in Romania, Maure was Vice President for Renault global manufacturing performance and a Vice President for Powertrain in the Renault-Nissan Alliance Purchasing Organization. He has led teams in manufacturing, purchasing, quality and aftersales. He joined Renault in 2000 after working for automotive suppliers including Faurecia and Valeo.
