Russia produces 2.8% less gold, 15.9% more platinum in Feb - Rosstat

MOSCOW. Feb 18 (Interfax) - Russia reduced production of unprocessed gold in ingots 2.8% year-on-year in January 2016, the Federal Statistics Service (Rosstat) said.

Production fell 2.7% year-on-year in January-February 2016.

Production of ore and concentrates containing gold fell 1.1% in February and 0.4% in the 2M.

Production of platinum and its alloys rose 15.9% in February and 51.2% in the 2M.

Production of palladium and its alloys rose 1.1% in February and 39.8% in the 2M.

Rosstat does not publish actual production figures for these metals.
