Elders from 3 localities ask Russian Reconciliation Center for humanitarian aid

MOSCOW. March 21 (Interfax) - The Russian Center for reconciliation of the warring parties in Syria is receiving new requests for humanitarian aid.

"The Russian Center for reconciliation has received the requests for humanitarian aid from the chiefs of local administrations and the elders of three localities, which joined the truce process in the Damascus and Hama provinces. Specialists of the Center started forming humanitarian convoys," the Center said in a news bulletin, which was published on the Russian Defense Ministry's website on Monday.

It also said that the restoration of the destroyed infrastructure continued in the localities in the Damascus province. Electrical power supply was provided, and telecommunication lines were restored in the city of Adra.

Consultations are being conducted with the relevant Syrian ministries over UN delivery of medicines to the blocked Syrian areas, the Reconciliation Center said.
