Situation in Donbas stable, militia shelled 8 times on Tuesday, Kyiv says
KYIV. March 22 (Interfax) - The situation in the special operation zone in eastern Ukraine has stabilized over the past 24 hours; by 6 p.m. there had been eight shell attacks on Ukrainian military positions, all of them in the Donetsk area, according to the press center of the Ukrainian military operation in Donbas.
The enemy delivered direct fire with large-caliber machineguns and small arms against positions near Maiorske, twice, and with small arms in the Zaitseve area, the press center wrote on Facebook.
Also, small arms and mortars were fired indirectly near Avdiivka, Pisky and Troitske, in a bid to provoke Ukrainian soldiers to fire back. "Ukrainian warriors did not respond to the provocations," reads the statement.
