Peskov declines to comment on European banks' refusal to underwrite Russian Eurobonds due to absence of info

MOSCOW. March 24 (Interfax) - The Kremlin is unaware of the refusal of a number of large European banks to participate in the sale of Russian Eurobonds.

"I know nothing about this [issue]. It is impossible to respond without having clear information," Kremlin press secretary Dmitry Peskov told reporters.

The Wall Street Journal said that large European banks had steered clear of Russian Eurobonds, as EU officials feared that Moscow "could funnel money raised to sanctioned companies."
