Moscow appreciates Obama's stance on trustful attitude to Russia, Russia isolation rhetoric has nothing in common with reality - Lavrov
MOSCOW. March 25 (Interfax) - The rhetoric linked with isolation of Russia has nothing in common with today's reality, and Moscow appreciates U.S. President Barack Obama's stance on a respectful attitude towards Russia, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov has said.
"Numerous issues were discussed in great detail today. We started with a detailed conversation on our bilateral relations, and we discussed key international problems in a very precise way, in great detail," Lavrov said after Russian President Vladimir Putin's meeting with U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry in Moscow on Thursday.
"As far as bilateral matters are concerned, it seems to me that we displayed our growing understanding of the counter-productivity of the policy aimed at disrupting the framework of Russian-American relations. And as we saw once again today, the rhetoric about isolation of Russia has nothing in common with reality. We appreciate the stance of President Obama, who has more than once reiterated the importance of trustful and pragmatic dialogue with the Russian Federation," he added.
