Kerry's visit to Moscow shows U.S. understands need to solve global problems together with Moscow - Kosachyov

MOSCOW. March 25 (Interfax) - The recent visit of U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry to Moscow demonstrates that the Americans begin to realize the need to search for points of contact with Russia in the solution of global problems, Konstantin Kosachyov, Federation Council International Affairs Committee Chairman, has said.

"The very fact of Kerry's arrival in Moscow and the negotiations which lasted for a total of eight hours show that he has not come here empty-handed: his 'suitcase' is actually the ball which, in the general context of global politics, is on the U.S. side: there is a need to find points of contact with Russia, as the United States has obviously failed to deal with problems of the polycentric world on its own," Kosachyov told Interfax on Friday. He was asked what Kerry was carrying in the suitcase he had brought to Moscow.

Russia is always ready to work together in the real points of contact, and it has always told the Americans so, Kosachyov said.

"Finally, they begin to hear us," he said.
