Russian deputy foreign minister, Syrian ambassador discuss cessation of hostilities, intra-Syrian talks

MOSCOW. March 25 (Interfax) - Russian Deputy Foreign Minister and Special Presidential Representative for the Middle East and Africa, Mikhail Bogdanov, and Syrian Ambassador to Russia, Riad Haddad, discussed the intra-Syrian talks and the implementation of the agreements on the cessation of hostilities in Syria, at a meeting on Friday, the Russian Foreign Ministry said.

"The conversation involved a discussion of relevant aspects of a political settlement in Syria in the context of a round of intra-Syrian talks under the UN aegis, which ended in Geneva on March 24, and the implementation of the Russian-U.S. agreements on the cessation of hostilities in the SAR starting February 27," the ministry said, in a statement posted on its website.
