Rosneft, Gazprom, Surgutneftegas interested in Layavozhsky, Vaneivissky blocks

KHANY MANSIYSK. March 28 (Interfax) - Rosneft , Gazprom and Surgutneftegas want to bid in the auction for the Layavozhsky and Vaneivissky blocks in the Nenets Autonomous District, Natural Resources Minister Sergei Donskoi told reporters on Saturday.

The small company Indiganeft is also interested.

"Who's not bidding! But seriously, we have received information that both Rosneft and Gazprom, and there is a company called Indiganeft are bidding. If I'm not mistaken, Surgutneftegas is also interested in this auction," Donskoi said.

He said the auction for the blocks might be held in the second quarter of 2016. The starting price at the auction will be 8 billion rubles.

"We submitted materials to the government at the beginning of March this year. The documents are being considered there. I hope that the auction will certainly take place this year," Donskoi said.

In the middle of March the government approved holding an auction for the Vaneivissky and Layavozhsky sections in the Nenets Autonomous District.

The geological oil reserves amount to 71.188 million tonnes of C1 oil and 10.814 million tonnes of C2 oil, of which there are 14.231 million tonnes of C1 recoverable reserves and 2.163 million tonnes of C2 recoverable reserves. C3 oil reserves amount to 1.912 million tonnes.

Gas reserves amount to 223.098 billion cubic meters (bcm) of C1 reserves and 2.235 bcm of C2 reserves.

Condensate reserves amount to 14.34 million tonnes of C1 and 0.114 million tonnes of C2 reserves.
