Central Bank raises 2015 trade surplus estimate to $148.5 bln
MOSCOW. March 31 (Interfax) - Russia's trade surplus in 2015 (calculated under the balance of payments method) is now estimated to total $148.513 billion, which is 21.7% less than the trade surplus of $189.737 billion in 2014, the Central Bank said on its website.
The new estimate is $2.25 billion higher than the previous estimate of $146.263 billion.
The change is the result of an increase in the estimated value of exports, to $341.467 billion (31.4% less than in 2014) from $340.349 billion previously, and a decrease in the value of imports, to $192.954 billion (37.4% less) from $194.086 billion.
