DPR observes over 500 Ukrainian army attacks in past 24 hours
DONETSK. April 1 (Interfax) - The Ukrainian army conducted over 500 attacks on the self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) in the past 24 hours, the Donetsk news agency said, with reference to the DPR Defense Ministry.
"The Ukrainian army shelled the republic's territory 547 times over the past day in 63 violations of the ceasefire," the DPR Defense Ministry said.
Horlivka and its outskirts - Zaitseve and Holmivskyi - as well as Spartak, Zhabycheve and Vesele, the vicinity of the Donetsk airport, and the towns of Dokuchayevsk and Yasynuvata came under attack, it said.
The Ukrainian army fired 313 82mm and 120mm mortar mines and 32 122mm and 152mm artillery shells, as well as using tanks, infantry combat vehicles, various types of grenade launchers and small arms.
