Stepanakert denies Baku's report on capture of Matagis city

YEREVAN. April 5 (Interfax) - The Defense Army of the unrecognized Nagorno-Karabakh Republic has denied the Azerbaijani side's report that the city of Matagis in Nagorno-Karabakh's northern Martakert district has been taken.

"It is another information trick. This information has nothing in common with reality. It is just another example of the adversary's wishful thinking," the press service of Nagorno-Karabakh's Defense Ministry said in a statement.

The city of Matagis has been subject to the most intense artillery fire using Grad multiple-launch rocket systems over the past few days, the press service said.
