Karabakh truce reached - Karabakh defense ministry

YEREVAN. April 5 (Interfax) - Armenia and Azerbaijan on Tuesday reached agreement to cease fire in the Karabakh conflict zone, Nagorno-Karabakh defense ministry spokesman Senor Asratyan told reporters on Tuesday.

"An agreement on ceasefire was reached today at noon because a negotiating process is underway," Asratyan said.

For his part, David Babayan, spokesman for the president of Nagorno-Karabakh, told reporters that, "the situation has stabilized."

"We should wait and see how [the situation] evolves further," he said.
