Volunteers help identify period of meldonium's removal from human body - Mutko

MOSCOW. April 8 (Interfax) - More than twenty volunteers have been taking part in experiments that are aimed at determining the possible effects that meldonium has on the human body, and the removal period of the banned substance, Russian Sports Minister Vitaly Mutko told reporters in a briefing.

"Studies are underway to determine the possible impact of meldonium on an athlete's body, and the period of its excretion. Twenty-two volunteers are taking part," Mutko revealed.
