Payments for Roscosmos services, not assets, frozen in France - Rogozin
MOSCOW. April 12 (Interfax) - The money paid for Roscosmos services has been frozen in France, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin has said.
"Roscosmos assets are not frozen, this is the money they were due to pay for our services, including launches from the Kourou Space Center. This is our money, which has not reached us, it is kept in accounts at French banks and belongs to our 'space' partners in Europe," Rogozin said on Ekho Moskvy radio on Monday.
The frozen money has not actually become Russia's property as of yet, he said.
"We are hoping for a favorable outcome of the legal action," Rogozin said.
One case of the kind was won in December, and another proceeding is pending, he said.
A number of media outlets said on Monday that Roscosmos' funds have been frozen in France as collateral for the Yukos case.
