Lavrov: Russia counts on results of intra-Syrian negotiations in Geneva
ULAANBAATAR. April 14 (Interfax) - Moscow hopes that the ongoing intra-Syrian negotiations in Geneva will be efficient, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said, in a lecture at the Mongolian Foreign Ministry.
"We are expecting the intra-Syrian negotiations, which are resuming in Geneva these days, to be efficient," he said.
The Russian Aerospace Forces' operation in Syria created favorable conditions for "the promotion of the inclusive intra-Syrian dialogue, and the real peace process in the interests of the political settlement of this conflict, under the UN aegis and for the sake of Syria's preservation as a single, integral, sovereign and secular state," Lavrov said.
