Lavrov expects Japanese PM's visit to Moscow to boost entire range of bilateral relations
TOKYO. April 15 (Interfax) - Moscow hopes that the forthcoming visit of Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe to Moscow will give a boost to the entire range of Russian-Japanese relations.
"Of course, our attention was centered on preparations for the Russian visit of Prime Minister Shinzo Abe. We believe that contacts to be made within the framework of that visit can give a fresh impetus to the entire range of our relations, consistent with the joint statement the two leaders made in 2013," Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said at a press conference in Tokyo.
