DPR accuses Ukrainian army of moving over 100 tanks towards Donbas contact line
DONETSK. April 15 (Interfax) - The Ukrainian army has blocked a road near Donetsk in order to move over 100 tanks towards the contact line, security services of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) have said.
"On April 14, the Ukrainian army blocked the traffic on the Donetsk-Mariupol road, near the Novotroitske checkpoint, for some time in order to move over 100 tanks. Notably, the vehicles were crossing the road," the Donetsk news agency quoted a representative of the DPR defense agencies as saying.
A civilian traveling to Donetsk by personal car via the Novotroitske checkpoint confirmed the blocking of the road.
"We were standing in line for rather long and the traffic was halted afterwards. We could see the vehicles moving; it is hard to conceal such a scope," the eyewitness told the Donetsk news agency.
