Agriculture Ministry: lending for field work up 59% this year

MOSCOW. April 18 (Interfax) - Lending to the agricultural sector for field work this year totaled 87.28 billion rubles as of April 14, 59% more than on the same date last year, the Agriculture Ministry reported, citing the results of operational monitoring of lending in the agricultural sector.

Russian Agricultural Bank (RusAg) accounted for the bulk of the lending, 61.54 billion rubles, which is 64% more than in the same period last year. Sberbank of Russia provided 25.74 billion rubles in loans, 46% more year-on-year.

Russian organizations in the agricultural sector received 262.72 billion rubles in loans in 2015, of which 189.92 billion rubles from RusAg and 72.8 billion rubles from Sberbank.
