Three people onboard helicopter missing in Yamal have died

SALEKHARD. April 19 (Interfax) - Rescuers have reached the site where a missing Robinson helicopter was spotted on Bely Island in Russia's Yamal-Nenets Autonomous District, spokesman for the Emergency Situations Ministry's local branch Ivan Skidanov told Interfax, adding that all the people onboard the helicopter were dead.

"All three people have died," Skidanov said.

It was reported earlier that three helicopters bound for Bely Island took off from the Republic of Komi on Monday evening. The weather then deteriorated, and one Robinson helicopter went missing. The other two helicopters landed in the village of Sabetta.
