Russia's VimpelCom placing $500 mln in 4-yr notes at 6.25%, $700 mln in 7-yr notes at 7.25% - source
MOSCOW. April 20 (Interfax) - VimpelCom Holdings is placing $1.2 billion in Eurobonds, comprising four-year tranche worth $500 million at yield of 6.25% pa and a seven-year tranche worth $700 million at 7.25%, a banking industry source told Interfax.
Final yield guidance was 6.25-6.375% for the four-year tranche and 7.25-7.375% for the seven-year tranche. Initial yield guidance of the four-year notes was 6.875% and for the seven-year notes - 7.875%. This was then lowered to 6.5-6.75% and 7.5-7.75%, respectively.
The organizers of the placement are Citi, Barclays and ING.
The issuer is GTH Finance B.V., which VimpelCom Holdings B.V., which brings together the assets of VimpelCom Ltd. with the exception of Italy's WIND, controls via Global Telecom Holding (GTH). The funds are being raised to pay back an internal debt that arose due to a deal with Naguib Sawiris. The debt stood at $1.2 billion at the end of 2015. Accordingly, the Eurobond offering will not be higher than that amount.
