Russian Defense Ministry: Jabhat al-Nusra continues to attack Syrian army in northern Latakia, Idlib province

MOSCOW. April 21 (Interfax) - Tensions persist in northern Latakia and the southwestern part of the Idlib province, the center for reconciliation of opposing sides in Syria has reported in an information bulletin.

"Units of the terrorist group Jabhat al-Nusra [banned in Russia] continue their attacks on governmental forces' positions on the Barzah-Takhtani, Haddada and Hakur-Takhtani line," says the bulletin posted on the Russian Defense Ministry website.

Reconstructions continue in Al-Qaryatayn in the Homs province. "Syrian repair teams have cleared of debris 30 meters of city streets and have restored 200 meters of power transmission lines. Syrian sappers have defused six landmines planted by the retreating militants," the bulletin said.

"New power transmission lines have been installed in the populated locality of Beit-Shakuhi in the Latakia province," the reconciliation center said.
