DPR to hold V-Day parade, having coordinated weapons list with OSCE - Pushilin

DONETSK. April 22 (Interfax) - The self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) will hold the V-Day parade on May 9, on the occasion of the anniversary of the victory in WWII. It has submitted a list of parade weapons to the OSCE, DPR negotiator Denis Pushilin has said.

"Indeed, this question [participation of weapons in the May 9 parade in Donetsk] has been raised. My position and the position of DPR citizens are invariable. We intend to hold the parade, and we have submitted a list of weapons and their numbers to the OSCE. We have reported everything: on what days the weapons will be moved and how they will be used," Pushilin told reporters on Friday.

He was commenting on the statement of OSCE SMM Principal Deputy Chief Monitor Alexander Hug, who said that the military parade engaging weapons in Donetsk would be a violation of the Minsk agreements.

"We have submitted comprehensive information and we believe that we have done everything possible to prevent this situation from being seen as a provocation. It will not be related to the resumption or non-resumption of the hostilities," he said.

DPR head Alexander Zakharchenko said that the May 9 parade in Donetsk would involve DPR weapons and military hardware dating back to WWII.
