Kadyrov declares about his benevolent intention to cooperate with new Russian ombudsperson

GROZNY. April 22 (Interfax) - Acting head of the Russian internal Republic of Chechnya Ramzan Kadyrov is ready to meet with newly appointed Russian human rights ombudsperson Tatyana Moskalkova and establish close cooperation with her.

"I cordially congratulate Tatyana Moskalkova on her appointment to the post of Russian human rights ombudsperson," Kadyrov told Interfax on Friday.

"I am ready to meet with her at any time convenient for her and discuss constructive cooperation on a most benevolent basis," Kadyrov said.

Kadyrov said he was sure that "the joint activity of the republican authorities and the new ombudsperson will benefit Chechen and all Russian people."

Moskalkova has previously said she wanted to visit the Chechen republic and meet with its leader Ramzan Kadyrov in order to understand how human rights are observed in the region.
