Idea to deploy OSCE police mission with heavy armaments to Donbas unhinged from reality - Moscow
MOSCOW. April 27 (Interfax) - The proposal of Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko to deploy an OSCE police mission with heavy armaments to Donbas is "totally unhinged from reality," according to Moscow.
"A certain OSCE police mission with heavy armaments seems to be some kind of new know-how from Petro Oleksiyovych. Such things do not exist even in UN peacekeeping practice. Hopefully, the president did not have in mind nuclear missiles or other weapons of mass destruction when he was speaking about heavy armaments," Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova said at a press briefing in Moscow.
"Ideas of the kind are totally unhinged from reality and have nothing to do with the civilian mandate of the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission to Ukraine," she said.
"Tank biathlon is not listed amongst its functions," Zakharova added.
