Stepanakert denies using ammo banned by int'l conventions in Karabakh
STEPANAKERT. April 28 (Interfax) - The spokesman for the Defense Ministry of the unrecognized Nagorno-Karabakh Republic, Senor Hasratyan, has denied the Azerbaijani side's claims that Nagorno-Karabakh's army used ammunition prohibited by international conventions.
"Out of habit, the Azerbaijani side is trying to present all events that are quite the opposite from the actual situation. It is it [Azerbaijani side] that is using weapons and ammunition banned by international conventions," Hasratyan was quoted as saying, on Wednesday, by local media.
Earlier, Armenia accused Azerbaijan of using Smerch multiple-launch rocket systems, TOS heavy flame thrower systems, Grad multiple-launch rocket systems, and 9M33M3 anti-aircraft missile systems against armed forces and the civilian population.
