LPR accuses Ukrainian army of pulling weapons towards Donbas contact line
LUHANSK. April 28 (Interfax) - The Ukrainian army has been pulling weapons and troops towards the Donbas contact line, Andrei Marochko, a spokesman for the self-proclaimed Luhansk People's Republic (LPR) militia, has said.
"The Ukrainian army continues to accumulate troops and weapons along the contact line, in violation of the Minsk agreements on the withdrawal of heavy weapons and the ceasefire regime," he told reporters on Thursday.
LPR intelligence has reported more than 20 military hardware pieces, including armored personnel carriers and infantry combat vehicles, on the northern outskirts of Stanitsa Luhanska, three howitzers on the northern outskirts of Shchastya, and a convoy of over ten GAZ- 66 military trucks carrying mortars towards that city, he said.
"Let me assure everyone, that the militia is honoring the peace agreements reached in Minsk, despite the provocations constantly staged by the Ukrainian army," the LPR militia spokesman said.
