Russian core sector output falls 0.5% in March - Rosstat
MOSCOW. April 28 (Interfax) - Core sector output in Russia fell 0.5% year-on-year in March 2016, the Federal State Statistics Service (Rosstat) said.
Output by the core sectors, which are industry, agriculture, construction, transport and retail and wholesale trade, grew 0.6% in February due to the extra leap year day and fell 3.5% in January. It fell 1.1% year-on-year in Q1 2016.
Industry fell 0.5% year-on-year in March (fell 0.6% in Q1), freight turnover fell 0.3% (grew 1.4%), retail turnover fell 5.8% (fell 5.4%), agriculture grew 2.7% (grew 2.8%) and construction fell 1.4% (fell 1.6%).
