Russia's restaurant market falls 5.7% in March, 5.5% in Q1 - Rosstat
MOSCOW. April 28 (Interfax) - Turnover at restaurants, cafes and bars in Russia in March 2016 fell 5.7% year-on-year to 100.7 billion rubles, the Federal State Statistics Service (Rosstat) said on Thursday.
The numbers were worse than in February 2016 where a 5.3% drop was recorded.
In the first quarter of this year, Russia's restaurant market shrank 5.5% to 293 billion rubles.
Last year, Russia's restaurant market fell 5.5% to 1.3 trillion rubles.
Rosinter Restaurants Holding , Russia's only publicly traded restaurant group, saw revenue fall 12.6% last year to 7.7 billion rubles.
