Growth of Surgutneftegas oil reserves in 2015 exceeds production by 21% to 74.8 mln t

MOSCOW. April 29 (Interfax) - The growth of recoverable oil reserves of Surgutneftegas for category C1 in 2015 exceeded production by 21% and amounted to 74.8 million tonnes, the company said in a report to International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) for 2015.

"As a result of the geological exploration work, there was the discovery of two oil fields in the Khanty-Mansii autonomous district, Yugra and in the south of the Tyumen region, 30 new oil deposits at fields discovered earlier," the report said.

The company added two fields in Western Siberia in 2015: Yuzhno-Vatlorskoye and V.I. Shpilman (Severo-Rogozhnikovskoye).

Production drilling totaled 4.3 million meters. The company added 1,200 wells to production last year.

Seismic surveying totaled 202,200 meters.

Surgutneftegas produced 61.6 million tonnes of oil in 2015. It exported 48.5% of crude oil production to the non-CIS and 5.1% to the CIS. Gas production totaled 9.6 billion cubic meters. The associated petroleum gas utilization rate was 99.4%.
