Russian Defense Ministry: Truce in Aleppo may be reached soon
MOSCOW. May 4 (Interfax) - A truce in the Syrian province of Aleppo may be reached soon, the Russian Defense Ministry has said.
The issue has been discussed by Russian and U.S. servicemen, the Russian center for reconciliation of opposing sides in Syria has said in its bulletin.
"The heads of the Russian center for reconciliation and the U.S. center based in Amman (Jordan) have discussed the compliance with the truce in northern areas of the Latakia province and the Damascus suburb of Eastern Ghouta, as well as the soonest establishment of a truce in the Aleppo province," says the report published on the ministry website on Tuesday evening.
