Russia raises oil output 2.7% to 179.7 mln tonnes in 4M

MOSCOW. May 4 (Interfax) - Russia's oil and gas condensate output grew 2.7% year-on-year to 179.748 million tonnes (10.889 million barrels a day) in January-April 2016, the Central Dispatching Department of the Fuel and Energy Complex (CDU TEK) said.

The leap year factor - February this year had one day more than February last year - accounts for a portion of the growth in the four months.

Russia produced 44.368 million tonnes of oil in April alone, up 1.6% year-on-year. Average daily production was 10.841 million tonnes.

In the four months, Rosneft produced 62.252 million tonnes of oil (15.438 million tonnes in April), Lukoil - 27.621 million tonnes (6.776 million tonnes), Surgutneftegas - 20.304 million tonnes (5.029 million tonnes), Gazprom Neft - 11.841 million tonnes (2.908 million tonnes), Tatneft - 9.215 million tonnes (2.282 million tonnes), Slavneft - 5.015 million tonnes (1.233 million tonnes), Bashneft - 7.040 million tonnes (1.754 million tonnes) and Russneft - 2.248 million tonnes (0.569 million tonnes).

Wholly Russian-owned companies and joint ventures produced 25.112 million tonnes of oil and condensate in January-April (6.101 million tonnes in April).

CDU TEK did not give a separate figure for gas giant Gazprom , which also produces oil - its figures are listed as 'estimated' output in the line for 'other producers,' its figures are listed as 'estimated' output in the line for 'other producers.'

Production-sharing project operators produced contributed 5.609 million tonnes (1.429 million tonnes).
