Russia demonstrates weapons, which have proven their value in anti-terrorism operations, at exhibition in Jordan - Rosoboronexport
AMMAN (Jordan). May 10 (Interfax-AVN) - The Russian delegation to the Eleventh International Special Operations Forces Exhibition and Conference, SOFEX-2016, which opened on Tuesday, puts an emphasis on special operations weapons in accordance with the exhibition's focus, head of the Rosoboronexport delegation to the show Valery Varlamov told Interfax-AVN.
"Mostly, these are weapons that have proven their perfect value in large-scale anti-terrorism operations, which obviously increases the interest of our partners," he said.
"The threats to the region posed by numerous well-armed terrorist groups require the use of practically the entire spectrum of weapons," he said.
"So, we are also demonstrating here the TOS-1A heavy flamethrower system, Sukhoi Su-32 fighter-bombers [the export modification of the Su-34 frontline bomber, which has been successful in Syria], various kinds of armored vehicles and artillery systems," Varlamov said.
