Several hundred people evacuated from building housing Ekho Moskvy editorial office over bomb scare - source
MOSCOW. May 10 (Interfax) - A building on Moscow's Novy Arbat Street, which also houses the editorial office of the Ekho Moskvy radio station, is being evacuated after an item resembling an explosive device was found there, a source in the law enforcement agencies told Interfax.
An item resembling an explosive device was found in a waste container near the entrance to the basement of Building No. 11 on Novy Arbat Street, he said.
The city's emergency services have arrived at the site and almost 300 people have already been evacuated from the building.
Bomb disposal experts have been called for as well.
No official reports concerning this situation have been received so far.
