Armenian Defense Ministry declares need for soonest launch of border incident investigation mechanisms

YEREVAN. May 12 (Interfax) - Azerbaijan has been ignoring efforts of the OSCE Minsk Group intermediaries towards the Karabakh conflict resolution, the Armenian Defense Ministry has said.

"A serviceman of the Nagorno-Karabakh Defense Army was shot dead from Azerbaijan only a few hours after the OSCE mission had conducted monitoring in the NKR's Martakert district. This proves that the Azerbaijani side has been ignoring mediating efforts towards resolution of the Karabakh problem. This is also another confirmation of the need for the soonest launch of incident investigation mechanisms," the Armenian Defense Ministry said in a statement on Thursday.
