Ban on import of all vegetables from Turkey may be introduced on May 16 - Rosselkhoznadzor

MOSCOW. May 12 (Interfax) - Rosselkhoznadzor may already introduce a ban on supplies of all vegetables and fruit from Turkey on Monday, May 16, due to the discovery of quarantined items in them.

"The probability that a decision [on the introduction of restrictions] will be made on Monday is very high," Rosselkhoznadzor Deputy Director Yulia Shvabauskene told Interfax.

She said that on Monday the service is planning to consider the ban on supplies of the remaining types of fruit and vegetable products, which are currently not banned. This concerns summer squash, lemons and grapefruit.
