Armenian parliament didn't include bill on recognition of Karabakh in agenda
YEREVAN. May 16 (Interfax) - The Armenian parliament on Monday voted against the inclusion in the agenda of the plenary session of a bill on the recognition of the independence of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic.
A total of 12 parliamentarians voted for the document to be included in the agenda, an Interfax correspondent has reported.
The bill was previously rejected by the commission on external relations of the Armenian parliament.
Armenian Deputy Foreign Minister Shavarsh Kocharyan told the commission it is premature to recognize the independence of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic at this point.
